[speaker not understood]. i'm here today with deborah landis, the admin deputy, [speaker not understood] youth commission director and don duran from the sf appeals board. on friday the 30th we presented to the board of supervisors fiscal year 2013-14, 14-15 draft budget based upon the budget instructions this committee provided in december. and today before you is the department's proposed budget which should you approve will be submitted to the mayor and the controller's offices on thursday, february 21st, which will be before you for further consideration in june. since the january 30th hearing, there are no changes to report to our department's budget. as a reminder, the draft budget proposal, the operating budget totals 12.9 million for fiscal year 13-14. i'll put a slide up to show the public watching at home. and for fiscal year 13-14, 13.2 million dollar budget and for fiscal year 14-15, these are compared to a current year budget of 12.4 million and a base of 13-14 million. w

to angela and your tremendous staff, thank you so much for all of your work in supporting us. we couldn't do what we do without you. and i think some of your clerks are the most amazing clerks that really help us stay on task. i really appreciate all of that work. there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. to, of course, harvey, carol adams who was with us before, john who is with us now, thank you. you guys have to sit there all of our meetings. and, so, give us advice even when we may not want it. so, thank you. and, of course, to each and every one of you here on the board, i can't tell you how much i've grown as a direct result of working with all of you and learning from you and just building friendships and relationships over the years. it's really been a tremendous experience and i know that we'll continue to do that in my new role. i do have to give a special shout out to sean. when i first came on the board as a supervisor, he really helped to carry me through and really helped to advise me and help me get situated. so, it wouldn't be right if i didn't men

as angela tae yoo, lester's growing season was extraordinarily challenging. we had a very, very significant trout situation in indiana. angie and her family feasted on their farm and she's going to share some of that with this today. angie and her husband had dreamed to firemen through their hard work, dedication to administer cooperation to 1500 acres. she and her has been a great example to us here in the committee. we are to those glauber's to roll up our sleeves and to get a farm bill as soon as possible as well, madam chairwoman. >> thank you very much. we are pleased to have you and i want to now introduce from michigan and, jeff send a lifelong cherry farmer. he's given us chocolate covered cherries that will not remain in the committee longer than the end of this day. i'll be gone. so thank you very much for bringing that. a lifelong cherry farmer who grew up working on his grandfather's 40 acres. he and his wife have now expanded that to 800 acres. also operating a receiving station for over 35 years to 35 growers bringing cherries to the station. he
